Singapore, 5 October 2023 – Lintasarta, a total solution Information and Communication Technology (ICT) company, emerged as the winner at the 2023 Asian Experience Awards, in the Indonesia Employee Experience of the Year – Telecommunications category. This award marks Lintasarta’s achievements in introducing revolutionary FlexWork policies, transforming the employee experience, and establishing an agile work ecosystem.
“Lintasarta’s FlexWork policy emerged as a form of company adaptation during the Covid-19 pandemic with restrictions on social activities. In March 2020, we started the Stay Healthy Solution, which is based on the principles of ‘Healthy, Happy, and High-Performing’ (3H). “This initiative ensures employee productivity and business performance remains stable, even amidst the remote work arrangements required by the pandemic,” said Bayu Hanantasena, President Director of Lintasarta.
As the pandemic continues, Lintasarta is proactively preparing to make remote work a permanent work scheme in the long term. In January 2021, Lintasarta officially launched FlexWork, a comprehensive policy that promotes flexibility, supports employee health and increases cost efficiency. This transformational initiative involves major changes in the work environment, mindset, habits and work support tools. Workplaces are changing to serve as more than just a physical place to work. Collaboration areas, online webinar studios and leadership spaces were renovated and reintroduced to promote a collaborative and dynamic work environment.
“FlexWork is triggering a fundamental shift in employee mindset. This policy encourages focus on task completion and integrity in work. Surveys conducted during the early stages of remote work revealed that 86% of employees were eager to embrace FlexWork, with 77% admitting that the supporting infrastructure met their remote work needs. To facilitate this change in mindset, comprehensive onboarding was conducted for all employees, empowering them to adapt to the new work style. “Work unit leaders are also provided with training and guidance through the Leadership Handbook,” said Bayu.
FlexWork also managed a smooth transition to a hybrid approach that combines face-to-face and digital collaboration and learning, supported by a number of tools provided by Lintasarta. For this reason, technology plays an important role in enabling effective FlexWork implementation. MyLintasarta application facilitates attendance tracking and self-service needs, while other systems simplify communication, document sharing and task management. In addition, Lintasarta subscribes to a global standard on-demand learning system that offers more than 8,000 learning resources and internal training content to promote continuous employee development.
The transition to FlexWork begins in 2022, with employees working from the office 1-2 times a week, subject to social distancing at 50-75% capacity. In 2023, FlexWork is fully realized, with employees working from the office three times a week (Work from Home) and remotely twice a week (Work from Anywhere).
The impact of FlexWork on the performance and engagement of Lintasarta employees is able to improve company performance and productivity. The company’s revenue also soared during the period 2020 to 2022. At the same time, the company also achieved internal cost efficiencies, meaning cumulative savings over three years. Lintasarta’s corporate brand is also growing and attracting greater interest from prospective employees, with an average of more than 1,000 applicants for each job vacancy.
As part of its commitment to continuous improvement, Lintasarta is also actively pursuing a comprehensive Digital Employee Experience. Lintasarta develops applications for centralized talent management in cloud-based systems and increases visibility in task management. This initiative aims to expand the impact of FlexWork to maintain productivity and engagement levels.
“In this program, Lintasarta Corporate Communications is also involved in strengthening employee engagement through various digital channels, social media platforms and official company channels. “The team’s commitment to improving employee experience in the FlexWork program plays an important role in providing maximum contribution to the company,” concluded Bayu.
