Lintasarta Celebrates Independence Month with Sustainable Mission through Waste Management, Blood Donation, and Education Donation

Jakarta, 14 September 2023 – In the spirit of fostering a sense of togetherness among employees, Lintasarta, a total solution Information and Communication Technology (ICT) company, is holding the Lintasarta League 2023 event with corporate social responsibility (CSR) activities for employees. The event, which was attended by nearly 1,000 Lintasarta employees in Jabodetabek, combined sports competitions, a food bazaar from MSME employees, and national cultural performances from Mang Udjo’s angklung art. This activity is also a celebration of Indonesia’s 78th Independence Day while promoting the importance of waste management, sharing roles through blood donations and educational donations for children in need.

As a leading provider of information and communication technology (ICT) solutions, Lintasarta recognizes the importance of creating a society that is not only technologically literate, but also cares about sustainable issues as part of its empowering Indonesia mission. Lintasarta League 2023 aims to confirm this commitment by integrating Lintasarta’s CSR programs in the Earth Love Pillar, Healthy Pillar, and comprehensive Education Pillar. In collaboration with Waste4Change, a leading waste management organization at this event, as well as the South Tangerang branch of the Palang Merah Indonesia (PMI), these activities are aimed at increasing employee awareness about responsible waste management and involvement in humanitarian activities.

Triharry Darmawan Oetji, Corporate Secretary General Manager Lintasarta, expressed his enthusiasm for this event. “Lintasarta League 2023 reflects our dedication in fostering a sense of unity among our employees and promoting sustainable practices. Together with Waste4Change, we are taking significant steps to instill a culture of responsible waste management within our organization. It doesn’t stop there, The results of this waste will be reprocessed into useful goods and we will weigh them and convert them into a number of funds which will be donated to schools around rubbish dumps in Jakarta in an effort to help the world of education. Likewise with PMI, this blood donor has “We have been doing this regularly for several years and this is the first time after the pandemic, we can finally hold it again with high enthusiasm from our fellow employees,” he said.

During the event, employees were involved in interactive activities and games related to waste management, such as interactive games, infographics related to waste education, and door prizes. Each employee also gets a tote bag to promote a sustainable lifestyle. Apart from that, Waste4Change also actively manages waste generated during Lintasarta League events. From this activity, around 92.2 kilograms of waste were obtained, consisting of 57.7 kilograms of inorganic waste, 16.8 kilograms of organic waste and 17.7 kilograms of other types of waste.

The results of this waste collection were converted into rupiah and a value of tens of millions of rupiah was obtained, which was then donated in the form of school support equipment and digital training for students and teachers at schools around the Bantar Gebang Waste Disposal Site. This educational donation is planned to collaborate with specialist training partners in the digital field with international certification, and is expected to provide sustainable benefits for communities involved in the waste management ecosystem.
