Lintasarta helps frontline warriors to fight COVID-19

Jakarta – To prevent the potential spread of COVID-19 pandemic, Lintasarta has been providing thousands of hand sanitizers and face masks for the community, Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for hospitals, as well as food security assistance for the unfortunate street vendors or those with small business capital who reside nearby Lintasarta office.

“The recent donations have been spread out to several areas of Indonesia and are focused on the referral hospitals for coronavirus and for citizens, especially to those who are in need of the equipment,” said Lintasarta President Director Arya Damar.

The PPE packages for referral hospitals include Cover All, Chemical Resistant Glove, Eye Protection, and Rubber Safety Boots. Arya hopes this equipment could help to reduce the critical shortage of medical equipment at the hospital.

“The PPE will be distributed to eight referral hospitals such as Cipto Mangunkusumo Hospital (RSCM), Jakarta; Wahidin Sudirohusodo Hospital, Makasar; Airlangga University Hospital, Surabaya; Jemursari Hospital, Surabaya; and any other hospitals that need it. We would like the medical workers who are battling COVID-19 at the frontline to have no issues finding PPE that has become an integral part of their daily need,” he said.

Meanwhile, hand sanitizers and face masks are donated to the community. “We have disseminated this package of donation in station areas and roads to those who are still doing the activity outside their home,” he said.

Lintasarta is collaborating with Lintasarta employees religious organization, Rohis (Islamic Spirituality Lectures community), to prepare the donation which later will be deployed to three National Zakat agencies such as National Alms Agency (BAZNAS), Rumah Zakat (RZ), and Inisiatif Zakat Indonesia (IZI). Lintasarta Rohis is also raising funds with Lintasarta employees to assist the food security of underprivileged street vendors who reside near Lintasarta office.

“Through Lintasarta Rohis, we are inviting all Lintasarta employees to purchase a donation which will be channelled to hospitals and all the community near Lintasarta offices at the Jabodetabek area. For Lintasarta Regional Offices, the donations would be made in the next phase,” Arya said. He hopes the medical sectors and daily workers who are most affected by COVID-19 could survive amid the pandemic. “We are aiming this social assistance initiative to be helpful to those who need the most,” he said.

Furthermore, Arya appealed to all citizens to follow the government’s instructions to help prevent the spread of the coronavirus outbreak (COVID-19). To that end, this will help to reduce the death toll and number of transmissions.

“Let us keep ourselves away from the virus. Give our full support to the government’s measures to dwindle the risk of further COVID-19 transmissions. One of our initiatives is to implement work from home system for most of Lintasarta employees. We will continue to remain just as productive at home as we are in the office,” Arya said to close out.
